By accessing or using SimpleSignPDF at simplesignpdf.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

2. Description of Service

SimpleSignPDF provides a free, browser-based tool that enables users to add electronic signatures and text annotations to PDF documents. All processing occurs locally on the user's device. We do not provide cloud storage, document management, or legally certified signatures.

3. Electronic Signature Notice

SimpleSignPDF creates "Simple Electronic Signatures" (SES). These are recognised in many jurisdictions for general business purposes, including under the ESIGN Act (USA) and eIDAS Regulation (EU). However:

  • We do not warrant or represent the legal validity of any signature created using this tool in any specific jurisdiction or for any specific document type.
  • Certain documents (e.g., wills, property deeds, court filings, notarised documents) may require Qualified or Advanced Electronic Signatures, or wet ink signatures.
  • You are solely responsible for determining whether an electronic signature is legally sufficient for your specific use case.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use SimpleSignPDF to:

  • Forge, falsify, or fraudulently misrepresent any document or identity
